Twin Bomb Attack In Iraq Kills 36,Sunnis Stages Protest Rallies
BAGHDAD (AP)- 36 peoples killed and around 100 got wounded by an Car bomb attack in Iraq.The car bomb attack strucked two markets and group of taxi vans in Shitte areas across Iraq on Friday.
After the attack tens of thousands of Sunni protestors rallied against Prime Minister Nouri-al-Maliki,a Shitte accused of monopolizing power.Sunnis also complained about offcial discrimination .
Sunni Protestors rejected a call by an al Qaida-linked group in Iraq to take up arms against the Government.
In Samara city of Iraq rally speaker Sheik Mohammed Jumaa warned Prime Minister saying,"Stop tyranny and oppression,We want our rights.You will witness what other tyrants have witnessed before you".
The first car bomb exploded in Baghdad around mid-morning at the entrance of Kazimyah market.When panicked shopkeepers tried to flee the area ,second parked car exploded.
The twin blasts turned several cars into tangled metals.
At least 17 people were killed and 45 were wounded in the two blasts, police said. All the victims were civilians.
After around one hour ,two car bomb exploded at Shomali market,killing at least 14 people and wounding 36 people.
The car bomb in Karbala killed 5 and wounded 16 civilians.
The official death toll is still to be released by the Government but,health officer's confirmed the tolls given above.
