President Obama To Nominate Sally Jewell As Interior Secretary
Sally Jewell will be new Interior Secretary,as President Obama continues to fill out his cabinet.
According to the sources,President Obama will nominate the business executive Sally Jewell as his new Interior Secretary
Presently,Jewell is the president and CEO of Recreational Equipment Inc.,which sells clothing and gear for outdoors.The headquarter of Recreational Equipment Inc. is situated in Kent,Washington.
Two officials from the administration of President Obama confirmed the appointment on the condition that they will not be named as President Obama will make a formal announcement this afternoon.
If confirmed by the Senate,Jewell will replace the Interior Secretary Ken Salazar,who announced her resignation last month.
Jewell introduced Obama at 2011 White House event for "America's Great Outdoors Initiative."
Sally Jewell is a former commercial banker for Washington mutual,Jewell became president of Recreational Equipment Inc. since 2005.
