Plane Crash In Russia Moscow
December 29 at Xinhua. A Russian Tupolev TU-204 passenger plane overshoot runway killing four people on board . This took place at Moscow airport (Vnukovo).
Emergency minister said, plane flown from Czech republic to home without passenger on board. This tragedy occurred at 4:36 P.M. Moscow time (1236 GMT) when plane uncontrollably slid off the runway with rough landing. Right wing of the plane catch fire when touching the ground.
Two killed on the spot including captain and four got injured due to crash landing out of eight crew members. Dead bodies were found during rescue operation, rescue operation completed at night as revealed by the officials.
The fire was successfully controlled by fire fighters with in 30 minutes. The airport was declared temporarily closed just after the incident but reopened after two hours at 6:30 P.M. as said by the head of the airport press service.
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed government to provide all the required resources and treatment to injured and also ordered investigation regarding plane crash.
According to the official, plane could not stop in the landing zone it slid off the runway and had direct collision with the airport wall.
In 2011 six air crash occurred in Russia, killed 97 people, contributing almost one fifth of all the air-crashes in the world.
