India On Backfoot On First Day Of 3rd Test After Loosing 7 Wickets For Just 273
After day-1 once again India is on backfoot after losing seven wickets for just 273 on first day.India started well on first day with a 83 run partnership between Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir but, then Virender Sehwag was run out due to misunderstanding between them.
The wicket has an uneven bounce but,no turn or pace in the wicket.Poor shot selection and misunderstanding took India to backfoot on first day of the test itself.
Gautam Gambhir looked all set with his knock of sixty runs.he looked set but,was out due to his poor shot selection. The another Indian batsman who played well is Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. At the starting he played some loose strokes but, then he settled and looked for a big knock before Matt Prior took an excellent catch off James Anderson to dismiss Sachin Tendulkar.
Once again, India are on the backfoot after losing seven wickets on the first day. Apart from Tendulkar (76) and Gambhir (60), none of the batsmen managed to stay at the crease for long. Tendulkar began his innings with some loose strokes and then settled and looked for a big one before Prior took an excellent catch off James Anderson to dismiss the Little Master.
Other Indian Batsman did not played well,At the end of the first day India were 273/7 with Dhoni and Zaheer Khan on crease.
