Mammoth Skeleton Found In France



France: Archaeologists in France have unearthed a nearly complete skeleton of a mammoth.The animal was thought to have roamed on earth between 200,000 and 50,000 years ago.
The Archaeologists have discovered a complete fossil of an animal by accident during the excavation of an ancient roman site along the Changis-sur-Marne riverbank  30 miles east of Paris.

The mammoth has been named "Helmut".The remains includes the four connected vertebrae and a complete pelvis.
It is supposed to be the the third remains of a long-haired mammoth discovered in France in last 150 years.It was first discovered by an French scientist,Georges Cuvier in 1796.
